CAZwebKiosk

Ready in a few simple steps

1. Start on your device

Windows 10 / 11 · 64-bit

  1. Download the Windows file from caz.de.
  2. Keep it in a permanent folder and double-click. The EXE is the app itself; there is no installation wizard.

Desktop shortcut: Right-click the file → on Windows 11, select “Show more options” if needed → “Send to” → “Desktop (create shortcut)”. Do not move the original file afterwards.

Windows preview 0.2.4 does not yet have a publisher signature. Windows may show a security prompt. Only use the download from caz.de; contact your IT team on managed computers.

Android 8 or later · ARM64

  1. Download and open the Android file on your tablet.
  2. If prompted, allow installation from this source for your browser or file manager. Return to the installer and select Install.
  3. Open CAZwebKiosk. No Play Store account is required.

You can disable permission for this installation source afterwards. Your IT team may restrict installation on managed tablets.

2. Set up once

  1. The app starts in English. Select German if needed.
  2. Enter your website’s full start address. You can add up to ten addresses with short names.
  3. Choose a settings password with at least six characters and keep it safe.
  4. Tap Open website. You are ready.

3. Visitor controls

The bottom bar contains Back, Forward and, for multiple sites, Allowed websites. Tap input fields to type. EN and DE change the app’s controls only; websites are not translated.

Change settings or exit

Touch: Start near the top of the webpage and swipe down. On Android, start slightly below the screen’s outer edge.

Windows: You can also press F10 or click at the very top centre of the window.

Choose Settings or Exit and enter your settings password.

Automatic return to the start page

After two minutes without interaction, a subpage returns to the selected website’s saved start page. The start page itself is not repeatedly reloaded. Change the time in Settings; 0 disables the return.

An automatic return or New session resets local visitor data. Data already submitted to a website remains with its operator. There is no automatic session reset while staying on the start page.

If something does not work

Blank webpage: Check the connection and address. On some Android tablets, open Help & info for simple DuraSpeed instructions. If your site works, no change is needed.

Blocked link: Its destination is not an allowed website. Add it in Settings if required.

Windows delete key: Hold to delete several characters, or use Delete word.

Installing an update

Windows: Exit the old app using your password, then start the new EXE. Settings stay in the same Windows user profile.

Android: Install the next official APK over CAZwebKiosk. The earlier “CAZweb” app marked “-test” is separate: note its start addresses and set up CAZwebKiosk once. The test app is not changed.

Try it before your event

Test your real websites, links, forms, keyboard and password-protected exit on the target device. The app protects its own controls; it does not lock down the operating system.

Downloads and camera, microphone and location permissions are disabled. Test special logins, uploads and payment flows beforehand.
