Background

We built a network of independent websites for our own services. Each microsite has its own domain and focuses on a particular need or region, such as landing pages, website relaunches, maintenance or web design for a trade business. CAZ Labs is identified as the provider throughout. The collection presents one in-house project made up of multiple websites.

The challenge

A network needs more than the same homepage at different addresses. Each website should help visitors understand a specific service, find useful information and prepare an enquiry. Every design also needed a distinct character. Shared technology had to simplify maintenance while allowing different page layouts.

Our solution

We developed individual visual concepts, type combinations, colours and page compositions. A landing-page service becomes a typographic poster, website maintenance takes the form of a service booklet, and the trade-business offer draws on a workbench with measurement lines. Regional sites explore further themes connected to their services. Behind these different interfaces, a shared technical foundation handles recurring tasks such as metadata, navigation, forms and publishing. Content is delivered as static pages, with interactive elements chosen for each specific purpose.

A special detail

The gallery makes the designs easy to compare and links each entry directly to its website. Visitors can enquire about a particular design direction as a starting point for their own company. We then develop an individual website with relevant content, functionality and brand details. The existing network websites and domains remain CAZ properties; exclusive design or domain acquisition would require a separate agreement.

The outcome

One clearly identified CAZ in-house project with independent websites on their own domains.
Distinct visual concepts, typography and page layouts for specialist services and regional offers.
Shared technical foundations for maintaining independently designed websites.
A gallery with direct links to each website and a way to enquire about a preferred design direction.
