Custom builds & interactive installations

Give your idea a shape of its own.

An exhibit that responds. Furniture that explains products. An installation where technology and content work together. We develop custom structures with suitable construction partners and consider the software from the start.

For showrooms, exhibition spaces, reception areas and temporary presentations where standard solutions do not fit. From an initial functional prototype to an agreed installation, the scope follows the actual use.

What we develop for you.

01

Coordinate design & construction

Form, materials, location and interaction are considered together. Construction partners assess fabrication; we coordinate media surfaces, installation positions, cable routes and access.

02

Integrate suitable equipment

Displays, computers, sensors and controls must suit their task. Equipment and appropriate components are selected for availability, workload and operating requirements.

03

Software built for the task

Touch catalogues, product selection, controlled media or existing data connections: we develop the right application. Offline use, updates, interfaces and data protection are discussed in the brief.

04

Test, handover & operation

A prototype or functional test helps check usability and integration early. Installation, training, maintenance access and later content updates are agreed for ongoing operation.

CLEAR STEPS · CLEAR RESPONSIBILITIES

From the idea to delivery.

  1. 1

    Understand the use

Who uses the installation, where is it placed and what should happen after an interaction?

  2. 2

    Design form & function

Agree sketches, dimensions, interaction, materials and technical components.

  3. 3

    Test prototype & application

Check critical functions before finalising the enclosure and digital content.

  4. 4

    Put it into operation

Test the structure and software together, provide training and define maintenance responsibilities.

A POSSIBLE APPLICATION

A touch station, considered in four layers.

01 Content and user interface. 02 Application and control. 03 Display and technical components. 04 Enclosure and installation. The exploded illustration shows the principle; materials, dimensions and equipment are developed for the specific project.

Custom software, also without hardware ↗

A good starting point.

  • Location, available space, photos or sketches of the setting
  • Desired interaction, audience and intended daily use
  • Content, data sources, power, network and existing equipment
  • Date, budget and requirements for transport, maintenance and reuse

What determines the effort?

Construction, materials, quantity, hardware and software functions determine the quote. A one-off build with a new control system involves different steps from adding media to existing furniture. We distinguish development, fabrication, installation and ongoing operation.

A rough idea is enough for an initial conversation. We establish any missing information together.

Good to know before we start.

Does CAZ fabricate the structures itself?

We develop the idea, design, content and custom software. Appropriate construction partners and specialists handle fabrication and installation. We coordinate the interfaces so the structure, equipment and application work together.

Can an installation work without internet?

Depending on its purpose, yes. Local media, catalogues and many interactions can run offline. Live data, central updates or external services may require a connection. This is established before development.

Can we change the content later?

Yes, when an update process is included. We clarify who changes the content, which approvals apply and whether local updates or an administration interface are needed. Ongoing support is agreed separately.

Do you develop software without a physical installation?

Yes. Bespoke software, apps, customer portals, interfaces and automation are independent core services at CAZ. You do not need to commission hardware or an event.

What needs to work, and when?

Tell us your idea, venue, date and budget range if known. We will clarify scope and the right team with you.

No obligation. You can send files and details afterwards.
